Recognize tilt three hands before you bust

Tilt does not announce itself with a siren — it whispers on hand one, talks normally on hand two, and shouts all-in on hand three. By the time you «feel tilted,» the deposit is often already moving. The fix is not zen — it is pattern recognition on a three-hand window with pre-written exits.

Hand −2: the tell you ignore

Two hands before the blow-up, players click faster, open wider from early position, or comment in chat about «this site.» Physically: jaw tight, lean forward, reach for rebuy before stack hits zero. None of this is mystical — it is autonomic drift. Tag it early; do not wait for the «obvious spew.»

The three-hand tilt checklist

Tilt flavors — same rail, different mask

• Revenge tilt — targeting one player; fix: seat change or quit.
• Deserve tilt — «I'm owed» after bad beat; fix: recite bankroll multiple, not outcome.
• Boredom tilt — playing trash to «see action»; fix: table count −1.
• Winner's tilt — over-aggressive after heater; fix: stop-win rule at +3 buy-ins.

I remember when hand three was the first hand I noticed

I remember spewing $680 in $2/$5 across 41 minutes — the spew hand was K8o snap-3-bet from MP, but hands −2 and −1 were already float-bombing rivers and open-limping «to trap.» I only tagged tilt on the K8o hand.
